Miller Farms would like to welcome our full time horse riding instructor Michelle Harris. She is fabulous with the students. Her technique and style of teaching is phenomenal. She is also the proud owner of Jump Street, and she is a foster Mom for Chip for the next 100 days.

Miller Farms is also pleased to announce that Jaymee Houser teaches riding lessons at our farm.  She is an excellent instructor and enjoys sharing her passion of the equine sport with her students.
"Born into the equine industry, every chance I got I would tag along with my father to the racetrack. At a young age I worked closely with racehorses at Charles Town Races, now Hollywood Casino and the well-known Shenandoah Downs. Every age bracket for licensing was like a trip to Disney for me. No more playing hide and seek from barn security, I was finally able to officially hotwalk, groom, pony, and exercise the animal that had already defined my life. I spent my childhood years in the show ring, riding hunters and jumpers. Hitting the ranks of the rated shows and topping equitation classes on a $300 Thoroughbred. I thought I could ride but, that horse would made me a rider and a horseman.
I broke horses on my parent’s farm for many years and obtained my trainers license in 1998. Training professionally at the same track I grew up on for over a decade, I retired as a licensed Thoroughbred trainer in 2011 and geared my life love to the less fortunate TB’s and equine’s alike. Passionate about rehabbing, retraining, and making every horse ridiculously awesome, this will be my third year participating in the Retired Racehorse Makeover. This event takes place at Kentucky Horse Park the first week in October and showcased over 450 OTTB’s last year.
I am a riding instructor to an amazing equestrian show team, teaching anywhere from 15-20 students every weekend. They started as students but, they are now my kids and I can’t wait to let them witness this new journey at the ATFO I have been blessed with. Never forgetting my roots, I work as a Paramedic for Hollywood Casino, trading in my four-legged ride for one with six. I also work as a part-time Paramedic/FF in the county where I reside."
